How To Get There

International Guest House is tucked away in a quiet and peaceful enclave on the north western fringes of Thamel (Kathmandu's most popular tourist district). By mixing modern conveniences with traditional design, we've established quite a reputation over the last 15 years.

Author Tip

The Swayambhunath (or 'Monkey') Temple is a 20-minute walk west from the hotel, on the far side of the Vishnumati River. A two-minute walk east takes you to the heart of the Thamel shopfest, where you can pick up bargain priced books, CDs, trekking gear, clothes and crafts.
