This monster on the hill exists to satisfy your every whim and is unquestionably the most luxurious place to stay in the country. Just don't expect much local flavour. As you might expect, the view is a definite plus point.

Seen from afar, the Mövenpick Sana'a, part of a chic international chain, rears up from one of the barren hills surrounding San'a like an out of place Hydra. Come a little closer, however, and you might start to see a softer side. For a start, it contains every detail you come to expect of such an establishment, from the functional and comfortable rooms to a belt busting range of eating experiences. There are frequent live classical music performances, deep blue pools, steamy spas and sweaty gyms. But, as with so many San'a hotels, it's the view that's the real winner. It might be an eyesore for everyone down below, but from up on this windy ridge you feel like a bird flying high over old San'a.
